A Sample Itinerary
Day 1
- Arrive at Cape Town International or OR Tambo International, Johannesburg
- We will transfer by an internal flight to George Airport (+/- 90min flight)
- Met by your host arrivals and a short luxury transfer to the Fancourt Hotel
- Unpack, relax and settle into your new environment
- Evening welcome drinks and tour schedule review
- Enjoy the beauty of the Outeniqua Mountains while sipping on cocktails and great wine to unwind after your travels. Followed by superb dining options at the Fancourt Hotel. We are here to assist and guide you
Day 2
- Breakfast Included at the Hotel
- Golf at The Outeniqua. The course offers a harmonious blend of picturesque scenery and engaging golf
- A sunshine tour event is played yearly
- Enjoy after golf drinks on the deck of the Fancourt hotel
Day 3
- Breakfast Included at the Hotel and a luxury transfer to Pinnacle Golf Club (+/- 45min)
- One of the many Peter Matkovich masterclass golf course designs
- The famous Open Champion Darren Clark described Pinnacle Point as an “outrageous, awesome, spectacular course” and stated, “Pinnacle Point Golf Course is Pebble Beach on steroids”. Also calling it “the best golf course on the planet and one of the most stunning places he had ever seen”.
- Why not enjoy the breath-taking views with food and wine at Pinnacle Point Club House.
- Luxury transport back to Fancourt Hotel
Day 4
- Breakfast Included at the Hotel
- Tee off at the Gary Player designed course The Links at Fancourt, built on dune-style landscape mimicking traditional links course of the British Isles
- This Links Course held the famous 2003 presidents Cup golf tournament, ending in a historic 17-17 tie. This after Tiger Woods and Ernie Els match was called a draw on the 3rd playoff hole due to fading light. The two world renowned captains of Jack Nicklaus and Gary Player agreed to share the trophy

Day 5
- Breakfast Included at your hotel
- Time for a day trip to Knysna, a 60min drive from Fancourt
- Enjoy lunch or dinner with wild Knysna oysters and bitterly cold champagne
- Today we will tailor what you the golfer wants to relax and enjoy some of the Garden Routes beauty
Day 6
- Breakfast Included at the Hotel
- Time for the Montagu Golf Course at Fancourt. A course designed by Gary Player. This parkland course is purely pristine. Tree lined fairways, strategic water hazards and mountainous views. Breath taking
Day 7
- Breakfast Included at your lodge
- Either golf at a golden oldie George Country Club or to play one of the Fancourt Courses again
- A day of planning your next trip to the South African Garden Route, whereby so many more golf courses are offered by Matkovich African Golf Experiences for you to enjoy
Day 8
- Breakfast Included at your hotel and then a transfer back to either Cape Town International airport or OR Tambo International airport from George
- Whilst this ends the structured offering, why not chat to us about adding on more time in the Kruger National Park or perhaps heading down to Cape Town for some time in the winelands and enjoying some coastal golf
